Longtime brewer Tim Nelson has been creating beers for over 20 years. In 2015, Tim established Earth Rider Brewery which was the first brewery in Superior, Wisconsin, to produce beer for the area since 1967. Earth Rider beverages combine Lake Superior water with high quality ingredients. Among the beverages offered by Earth Rider are unique beers like North Tower Stout, Duluth Coffee Pale Ale, Apricrush Tart, Royal Bohemian Pilsner, and Valhalla Winter Warmer. Brewery tours allow patrons to see how their favorite beverages are created and to try samples of new flavors.
Utilizing an SBA 504 loan provided by WBD and financing from Superior Choice Credit Union, Tim was able to purchase brewing equipment consisting of a state-of-the-art, Wisconsin-made Sprinkman brewhouse, four fermenters, and two brite tanks. With the new equipment, Tim hopes to expand the selection of beers offered by Earth Rider Brewery. It also adds nine jobs to the Superior community.
